Resident Evil: Apocalypse is a 2004 action horror film directed by Alexander Witt, and the second installment in the Resident Evil film series. Based on the Capcom survival horror video game series of the same name, it is the sequel to the 2002 film Resident Evil. The film follows the protagonist Alice, as she attempts to escape Raccoon City following the T-virus outbreak.
The Plot of ‘Resident Evil: Apocalypse’
The film begins with Alice, a former security operative, awakening in the deserted Raccoon City. It is revealed that the T-virus, a mutagenic virus created by the Umbrella Corporation, has spread throughout the city, turning most of its citizens into zombies. Alice joins forces with a group of survivors, including Jill Valentine, a former member of the city’s police force, and Carlos Olivera, a mercenary hired by the Umbrella Corporation, to escape the city.
In their attempt to escape, the group is confronted by several obstacles, including the Nemesis, a powerful bioweapon created by the Umbrella Corporation to eliminate the remaining survivors. Alice and her allies must face off against the Nemesis and the undead hordes in order to survive.
